Alexander Isak injures himself while scoring for Liverpool against Spurs.

Alexander Isak scored his second league goal for Liverpool in their 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, but it was a bittersweet moment as he suffered a potentially serious injury in the process. Isak came off the bench and scored in the 56th minute, but was forced to limp off the pitch after a tackle from Micky van de Ven.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot expressed concern over Isak’s injury, saying “If a player scores, gets injured and doesn’t come back on the pitch, that’s usually not a good thing”. Reports suggest Isak may have broken his leg, which could rule him out for at least two months.

Isak’s injury is a blow to Liverpool, who are currently fifth in the Premier League table. The team is already missing Mohamed Salah, who is representing Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Injury Update:

– Isak is undergoing scans to determine the extent of his injury
– Liverpool fears Isak may have suffered a significant lower-leg injury
– The injury could keep Isak out for several weeks or even month.
