“Ecstatic” About Brother Jim’s New Position With The Chargers, Says Ravens Coach John Harbaugh
Jim Harbaugh was named as the next coach of the Los Angeles Chargers on Wednesday, marking his official comeback to the NFL. Though a lot of people are happy to see Harbaugh return to the NFL, his brother may be the most enthusiastic.
John Harbaugh spoke his thoughts on Jim’s comeback to the NFL with the media on Thursday as the Baltimore Ravens got ready to play in the AFC championship game on Sunday.
John remarked, “We’re excited, proud, and happy for him, and we’re looking forward to everything.” “Let me say this: the Chargers have one outstanding coach now.”
It is clear from John’s presentation at the College Football Playoff earlier this month that the two brothers have always been close. John then gave an explanation of why he thinks Jim is “the best team builder in football right now” following Michigan’s National Championship victory.
Only twice, including in Super Bowl XLVII, did the brothers play against each other when Jim was the 49ers’ coach for four seasons. The Chargers will host the Ravens the following season, so they won’t have to wait long to coach against one another.
