LeBron James declared he was retiring.
Lebron announce his retirement today been 25 January 2024
The Golden State Warriors’ veteran winger Andre Iguodala, 39, announced his retirement from the NBA on Friday, making LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers the oldest player in the league.
James will turn 39 on December 30, 2023–24. He is currently 38 years old.
Iguodala announced his retirement to ESPN’s Andscape’s Marc J. Spears, stating that it was the “perfect moment” to do so.
Iguodala averaged 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.4 steals in 1,231 regular-season games while playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, and Warriors over the course of 19 NBA seasons.
A four-time NBA champion and one-time All-Star, Iguodala will be 40 in January. In 2015, he won NBA Finals MVP after leading the Warriors over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
LeBron is as surefire as they come, but there will probably be a lot of discussion in the upcoming years on whether Iguodala belongs in the Hall of Fame.
James, who has played for the Cavs and Heat in the past, is getting ready to start his sixth NBA season overall and his 21st overall with the Lakers.
LeBron James is the NBA’s all-time greatest scorer after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the previous season. He is also a 19-time All-Star, four-time NBA champion, four-time MVP, and four-time MVP of the NBA Finals.
The most astonishing thing about James’s ageing game is that he’s still one of the league’s finest players and is playing at a very high level.
After leading the Lakers to the Western Conference Finals the previous season, James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game.
In 2023–24, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the Lakers core return to the court in an attempt to defeat the Denver Nuggets, the defending NBA champions, and go to the NBA Finals.
