Antonio Pierce, the head coach of the New Raiders, is made fun of for claiming he will “touch” and “feel” his players.
Due to their dismal 3-5 start to the season, the Las Vegas Raiders sacked general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels on Wednesday. Antonio Pierce, who had been the linebackers coach, was named the team’s acting head coach.
But at his inaugural press conference, Pierce—a former athlete who enjoyed success throughout his career, including winning a Super Bowl—raised eyebrows for all the wrong reasons.
Pierce explained his decision to stay on the Raiders coaching staff by saying, “I had options to quit and go to other organizations.”
“I chose not to because, to give you the short version, I was raised in Compton, California. I am a Raider at heart. This is how I was born.
“I used to be a player. I make contact with past players. They will sense my presence. I must experience them.”
Several people made fun of that on social media.
On X, the former Twitter platform, a user commented, “I kind of don’t want to know what goes down in his locker room.”
Another claimed, “Antonio Pierce is going to be called into HR on his first day.”
Josh McDaniels is replaced by Antonio Pierce.
Despite still having a few years left on his deal, McDaniels was fired as the Raiders’ head coach.
The decision was made because the team, managed by offensive coordinator Daniel Daniels, a former member of the New England Patriots, had not improved much during the season.
His combined record as head coach of the Denver Broncos and Raiders is 20-33. He has a history of failing to fill head coaching positions.
After serving as offensive coordinator for the Rams for a short time, McDaniels—who was also fired by the Denver Broncos in 2010—joined the New England Patriots for an 11-year run.
Over the course of his career, McCarthy has played for the Patriots in 19 of his 24 seasons, 14 of which he has been the offensive coordinator.

Following the Chiefs’ victory against the Ravens, Donovan Smith makes fun of Roquan Smith.
In any sport, a championship team must overcome hardship in order to reach the summit. This adage even holds true for the Kansas City Chiefs, who have won four AFC titles in as many seasons and have generally made things appear simple. But there’s no denying that on February 11, they had to merit their trip to Super Bowl LVIII.

Head coach Andy Reid told reporters after Kansas City’s 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, which guaranteed the Chiefs’ spot in Las Vegas, that one particular game roused this dormant monster and put it on its path to yet another conference championship.
finally determined by a pair of defensive touchdowns in the first half on consecutive plays by Las Vegas. Reid stated to reporters on Monday that Kansas City was brought back to life by this particular game.
Reid stated, “I think that served as a terrific wake-up call for us.” “They emerged very emotional.Antonio Pierce had them prepared for departure. However, it was that emotion that caught your attention and was exploited by them.”
Since then, the Chiefs’ performance has been characterized by a strong sense of passion and emotion. Despite a brief period of uncertainty, Kansas City overcame their home loss in Week 16 to secure the AFC West title the following week and defeat the Los Angeles Chargers on the road to wrap up the regular season. And despite playing away from home for two thirds of the conference playoffs, Reid’s team persevered and performed at a championship-caliber level to make it back to the Super Bowl.
