Podcast: 2024: How Will the Destroit Lions Level Up?
The Detroit Lions are looking to build on their 2023 season success as they enter a crucial offseason.
A youthful core of players experienced their maiden postseason triumph and are now anticipated to make even more progress in 2024.
During his season-ending press conference, general manager Brad Holmes stated that the front office will try to enhance every facet of the squad.
Although he did not particularly criticize the defense, it is expected that improvements will be made, especially in the secondary.
We strive for improvement each and every year, after all. I don’t believe it’s in a single place. “I believe that’s the point of dangerโthe moment you believe you’ve mastered a skill and no longer need to practice it,” Holmes remarked. There’s no such thing as perfection, so we’ll always be kind of honing our skills in every aspect of our lives.
We’ve already begun the process of improving in every area, so we’ll just kind of look to keep doing so. It’s expected where we ended up, and it will be expected going into this year. “Super Bowl, you know, that was disappointing that we weren’t able to attend,” Holmes went on. Once more, it wasn’t a case of, ‘Man, we got lucky.’ No, it’s not what we had hoped for; however, we still made great progress. We’ll get better everywhere.
With Jeff Iafrate as the guest, the most recent episode of All Lions, “Bang the Table,” delves into how the Lions proceed with their rebuilding process in light of the sharply increased expectations.
