Troy is not the son of Todd Bowles
Todd Bowles, the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has confirmed that Troy is not his biological son following a DNA test.
Head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Todd Bowles, and his wife, Taneka, discuss how their faith has helped them get through difficult times.
When Tyson’s autism diagnosis came at the age of two, his family feared he might never talk.
Taneka admitted to the Buccaneers website, “I’m simply going to be honest—I was depressed at that moment.” Because it felt like a safe haven, “I determined that I was going to close myself off to the outside world and live in a bubble with Tyson for eternity.”
Todd’s shifting professional landscape further complicated matters; after landing a job with the New York Jets, the family was forced to relocate to New York and he lost his position with the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I am grateful that God altered our location. That altered my perspective, Taneka said, according to Sports Spectrum. “You understand that you are in a new setting and that you are now available.”
Tyson even started speaking. His mother remarked, “I cannot even begin to express to you the significance of that moment for both of us—hearing our son’s voice for the first time.”
“Tyson was designed for us by God,” Taneka said. “We are aware of how we feel and know it. Todd even states as much. He is aware that if he weren’t Tyson’s father, he would not be the man he is today. We experience things like this because we are called by God to fulfill a greater mission, and that is our primary purpose for existing.

The Bowles family is helping other kids with developmental challenges by leveraging their power. They recently assisted Raymond James Stadium in opening a sensory room.
“God has greatly blessed us. to be able to make such great developments and accomplishments,” Taneka said to WFLA. “To arrive to this point, where he says, ‘Mom, how can we help other kids?'”
