What led to Doc Rivers divorce and his wife?
There was a greater front-office presence during the final 1.5 weeks of Adrian Griffin’s Milwaukee Bucks head coaching stint, league sources informed Bleacher Report.
Jon Horst, the general manager, and assistant general manager Milt Newton started watching drills and shootarounds. It’s normal for CEOs to watch; most of them do it while standing close to their office.
However, insiders claim that the Bucks front office, which has been watching from the sidelines throughout practices, has recently started to raise questions among the players and coaching staff.
And after leading the team to a 30-13 record, which is currently the second-best in the league, in 43 games as a coach, Griffin was fired just a week later.
I’m grateful for the chance the Bucks granted me. Griffin said in a phone interview with Bleacher Report shortly after his dismissal, “You can’t control everything.” “I’m pleased with the work we completed. I am grateful to my coaching staff for their diligent work. In this league, head coaching has always been my dream. A better roster could not have been requested. I was able to work with Giannis, Dame, Brook, and Khris. Dreams do come true. In general, I’m just grateful, but maybe I get another go at it.”
Four months into the season, 49-year-old Griffin is let go from a four-year contract he signed in June 2023. The Bucks will be paying the salaries of three head coaches after this next coaching search is concluded fairly soon because they are still responsible for Mike Budenholzer’s remaining salary.
Throughout the course of 13 years, Griffin had 14 interviews to become an NBA head coach before joining the Bucks.
The Miami Heat had defeated Milwaukee in the first round of the previous season, leaving the team in limbo.
The Bucks let go of Budenholzer and had no idea if they would re-sign Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton. Houston was making a lot of progress with Lopez in free agency. Furthermore, they were uncertain about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s intention to prolong.
