Some information regarding the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl party
A day after police revealed that two minors had been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and resisting arrest in connection with the shooting that occurred following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration, residents of Kansas City came together on Saturday afternoon to “demand a future free from gun violence.”
The devastating conclusion to the joyous occasion that drew an estimated one million visitors to the city came on Wednesday with the shooting outside the city’s iconic Union Station.22 individuals were hurt, almost half of whom were younger than 16 years old, and one woman was murdered.
The children’s hospital that was caring for the eleven youngsters injured in the shooting declared on Saturday that all of the patients had been released. The injured were brought to multiple hospitals. The majority of them are now free.
The champion chiefs have supported the victims in the days following the shooting by raising money, giving gifts, and paying hospital visits to the injured.
