Georgia has had the best head coach in program history for the last eight years. As much as I admire Vince Dooley for his national championship and remarkable tenure in Athens, no run in Georgia history compares to Kirby’s first eight seasons.
Georgia now has the best head coach in the nation following the retirement of Nick Saban. With a strong lineup, Georgia is the clear favorite to capture a third national title in as many seasons.
But being a Georgia fan hasn’t always been this wonderful. The Dawgs have experienced some difficult times, and in college football, almost all of those difficult times begin with the choice of the incorrect head coach.
