RAFAEL NADAL MRI RESULTS CONFIRMED AS POST INDIAN WELLS PROGNOSIS SET AHEAD OF CLAY COURT SEASON.
Rafael Nadal’s MRI results validated the post-Indian Wells prognosis ahead of the Clay Court season.
Rafael Nadal will be hoping that the clay court season goes better than his hard court endeavors, and it appears he will at least make it to the Monte-Carlo Masters, which gets underway on April 6, 2024.
Good news for Rafael Nadal’s supporters: an MRI on his back following the soreness that forced him out of Indian Wells has revealed no future damage or cause for concern, according to French journalist Remi Bourrieres.
It’s unclear if he will experience any more setbacks before the clay court season starts, but for the time being, at least, he can enter the next and most important phase of the season with some confidence. Many people believed that Nadal was aiming for this stage in his career, which was retirement.
Nadal will be somewhat busy on clay in the upcoming months, with appearances in Madrid and Barcelona, the Olympic Games, and Roland Garros all approaching. However, after withdrawing from Doha, the Australian Open, and most recently Indian Wells, there were some concerns about whether he would even make it.
However, he has recently only performed in Brisbane and the Netflix Slam exhibition, which has raised some red flags. At least one tournament for the new clay court season can be crossed off the list thanks to his confirmation on the entrance list for the forthcoming Monte-Carlo Masters.
