Saudi Arabia’s PIF is reportedly attempting an insane tennis takeover with a $2 Billion Offer
In the near future, tennis as we know it may change since Saudi Arabia is attempting to use its Public Investment Fund (PIF) to acquire the great majority of the sport.
Saudi Arabia has been gaining popularity gradually over the past several years, with a few exhibitions taking place there periodically.

As the cries became more and more louder last year, Saudi Arabia announced that it would host the Next Gen ATP Finals, marking the country’s first formal step on the ATP Tour.

Since then, they have carried out the expansion, officially partnering with the ATP and sponsoring women’s elite player Ons Jabeur’s apparel. As a result, the PIF logos are currently displayed throughout the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, home of the ATP and WTA 1000 events.
The top players in the sport talked about the potential formation of a new Premium Tour on Saturday during the Indian Wells Open. This would radically alter the game as it exists today.The ATP chairman, Andrea Gaudenzi, reportedly asked the Masters 1000 tournament delegates to remain in the room during these conversations, but the representatives of the four Grand Slams left the conference after it was officially adjourned, according to The Telegraph.
This was supposed to be an announcement of the Public Investment Fund’s (PIF) offer to the ATP and WTA, which included the 1000 category tournaments, according to the journal.

According to The Telegraph, the offer, which is unconditional and expires in 90 days if it is rejected, should be worth $1 billion for each tour.

According to the journal, Saudi Arabia would be entitled to organize a thousand tournaments during the first few weeks of every new tennis season if the offer were to be accepted.
