Dallas Should Aim for These 4 Wide Receivers During the Offseason
The Cowboys offensive in 2023 was strong, but after CeeDee Lamb, the team lacks a reliable wide receiver. That might be altered by these four receivers.
KEY POINTSIn addition to CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys need more output at wide receiver. In the NFL Draft, receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Ricky Pearsall are both excellent choices. Both Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd are good choices available through the trade market and free agency.
One of the more complete teams in the NFL is the Dallas Cowboys. They have a mostly well-rounded roster and appear to be a perennial playoff contender. However, there is one position where there is room for improvement: wide receiver.
Of course, Dallas has one of the top receivers in the league in CeeDee Lamb, who is regarded by all. Dallas has, however, received little to no production from the rest of its receiving room, aside from him.
Not good numbers, and Michael Gallup is a free agent at the moment. The absence of Gallup, last season’s output, and the Cowboys’ inability to acquire a better wide receiver via free agency have left a gaping hole at the position.
These four receivers would relieve some of the load on Lamb in 2024 if Dallas were to sign them via free agency, trades, or the 2024 NFL Draft.

The biggest football event of the year is the NFL Draft, where Dallas might find their next great wide out. The Cowboys will seize Brian Thomas Jr. if they have the chance.
Thomas Jr.’s quickness and ability to track the ball make him a reliable deep threat. He has the ability to overwhelm defenses at any time, which may compel them to give Lamb room on underneath routes. Thomas Jr. possesses a variety of double moves and is skilled at changing pace to sidestep defensive backs.
Thomas Jr. would greatly enhance Lamb’s skill set and add a great deal of diversity to the offense. Both players have the ability to overwhelm a defense, but Lamb is a superior route runner and the LSU product is a deeper threat. Though they might have to give up a few picks to get Thomas Jr., Dallas’ offense would benefit greatly from his presence.
