After winning a wild card series in the MLB playoffs and the American League Central, the Minnesota Twins hope to reconnect with every member of their coaching staff in 2024.
Bobby Nightengale Jr., a reporter for the Twins, shared the following on social media:
The paper states that the Twins plan to bring back every staff coach under Rocco Baldelli in 2024.
Considering how good they’re playing right now, it’s hardly surprise that the Twins lead all of baseball in strikeouts in 2023.
In the American League, they also shared the lead in walks and home runs. The aforementioned narrative claims that the squad is willing to forfeit some “whiff” in exchange for regular action and dominance on the bases.
“You want balls hit on the barrel, hard, and baserunners,” said Baldelli. That’s the aim. Those are the two things we want most of all.
It’s also critical to keep in mind that Baldelli said the offense would undoubtedly get better if the organization could sign Carlos Correa, Royce Lewis, and Byron Buxton to full seasons in 2024. Due to injury, Buxton and Lewis missed a significant amount of the three players’ combined time in the previous campaign. Correa’s hitting average fell to.230 and his on-base percentage to.312 this season despite playing with a foot issue.
