Departure: Packers Signs A Standout Michigan Cornerback who is A…
Former Michigan cornerback Gemon Green is getting another opportunity in the NFL.
As of Wednesday, the Green Pay Packers made the announcement that the second-year professional has signed with the team. Despite the fact that Green was not selected in the draft in 2023, he signed with the New York Giants shortly after the draft. However, he was cut after training camp.
The former three-star recruit from DeSoto, Texas, spent five years in Ann Arbor. He had the opportunity to continue for a sixth season, but he decided to declare for the draft after the 2022 season. Following his performance in 13 games, he was recognized as an honorable mention for all-Big Ten after earning 20 tackles and four pass breakups.
Over the course of his career at Michigan, Green started 24 games, but he was eventually replaced as the starting quarterback by Will Johnson, a freshman, near the end of the 2022 season. Green concluded his career with 71 tackles, 15 pass breakups, and one interception. He finished his career with 42 games played.
