The former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach would not mind returning to the club next season.
Fox announced on Friday that Meyer will continue to serve as an analyst and that the whole Big Noon Kickoff studio crew will be back. Meyer resigned from that position when he was appointed coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars the previous season. Meyer was fired following 13 games with 11 losses and some off-field PR issues.
Meyer’s 83-9 record as Ohio State’s head coach helped the team win the 2014 national championship. His career record as a college coach is 187-32, with victories in two national championships at Bowling Green, Utah, and Florida.
For Fox’s Big Noon Saturday coverage crew, Joel Klatt will be the studio commentator, Jenny Taft the sideline reporter, and Gus Johnson the play-by-play man. Rob Stone, Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush, and Matt Leinart will be joining Meyer in the studio for Big Noon Kickoff.
