TRAGIC NEWS: Emma Raducano was involved in a horrific accident that resulted in…
The 19-year-old was seen competing against Viktorija Golubic at the Nottingham Open and gripping her side.
In the early going, she needed a medical timeout and pain medication to get through it.
But in the end, she was forced to withdraw and retire, making it her third withdrawal from a match since her victory at the US Open in September 2021.
After retiring from this match, she claimed she would get scanned to find out what was wrong, but she was unsure if she would be well enough to play at Wimbledon.

The first game was completely bizarre. She remarked, “I guess I pulled something, but I’m not really sure what occurred precisely.” “I just got off the court with a completely bizarre injury. I’m not sure how else I could have handled it. That concludes it.
“I must first have a scan. I refuse to become a “Google doctor.” I’ll have it examined. Then, we’ll see what happens.
“I don’t know anything about Wimbledon. It might have simply seized up and gone into spasm, in which case it would be extremely painful for a few days. I’m not sure. I am not capable of diagnosing myself. I’ll have it examined.”
Although she acknowledged that she hasn’t been able to have a break, she didn’t believe that her recent back ailment was the cause.
“I’m attempting to maintain the optimistic outlook I’ve been having,” she continued. “I’ve done a great job getting ready for this competition. Even when I was playing more aggressively and other things, I think there were indications that I was content. I was feeling good and at ease. It’s just unfortunate.
“It is quite unfortunate, and I am definitely disappointed. At times, I feel like I’ve been working incredibly hard and that all you want to do is take a break, but I haven’t really.”
