The initial game was utterly strange. “I think I pulled something, but I’m not really sure what happened exactly,” she said. “I recently left the court with the most unusual injury. I doubt there was any other way I could have handled it. That brings it to an end.
“I have to get scanned first. I’m not going to turn into a “Google doctor.” I’ll have a look at it. Then, we’ll observe the outcome.
“My knowledge of Wimbledon is zero. It could have just locked up and gone into a spasm, in which case it would hurt like hell for a couple of days. I’m not certain. I’m not competent to diagnose myself. I’ll get it looked at.
She said that she hasn’t been able to take a break, but she didn’t think her current back problem was to blame.
She went on, “I’m trying to keep the positive attitude I’ve been having.” “I’ve prepared for this competition quite well. I believe there were signs of contentment even when I was playing more aggressively and doing other things. I was content and relaxed. It’s just bad luck.
It’s really unfortunate, and I’m disappointed, for sure. Though I haven’t actually, there are moments when I feel like I’ve been working so hard that all you want to do is take a vacation.
