Chris Paddack key player of the Minnesota Twins, is fully Back.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletics reports that Chris Paddack is prepared to make his comeback to the Minnesota Twins. When Paddack, 28, had his second major elbow surgery in May 2022, he had started 65 of his 66 career games. Before dominating in the postseason, he returned for two relief appearances towards the close of the previous campaign. He will be a part of the Twins rotation this season, helping to bridge the gap left by the departures of Kenta Maeda and Sonny Gray.

President of baseball operations for the Twins, Derek Falvey, stated in October that “we saw a preview of what we think Chris Paddack could be in the rotation.”

Paddack is prepared for a complete, healthy season after going through his first spring training since joining the Twins in 2022.

Chris Paddack’s Comeback
He made further progress toward his comeback last week. In two and a third innings against the St. Louis Cardinals, Paddack threw 51 pitches. On Monday, he started his second spring game and gave up one run in four innings against the Atlanta Braves.

“I never would have imagined that I would feel at ease outside,” Paddack remarked. As newbies, we have unique rituals and customs, such as this technique of cleaning our teeth and this way of performing bands. However, exiting the bullpen altered my professional path.

Paddack was a promising rookie for the San Diego Padres in 2019, with a 3.33 ERA in 26 starts. The right-hander, however, struggled and finished 2020 and 2021 with a combined 4.95 ERA. Then, as part of a five-player trade, he was sent to Minnesota along with reliever Emilio Pagan. The night before Opening Day 2022, Padres acquired outfielder Brent Rooker and reliever Taylor Rogers.

“Over the previous few seasons, I’ve been searching a little bit and fell into a hole,” Paddack remarked. “A lot was running through my mind. In certain games more than in others, there was doubt. I became very critical of myself, began to give batters too much credit, and forgot what Chris Paddack did best.Good
