Commanders’ Kliff Kingsbury Describes How Dan Quinn Supports Offense
The Commanders’ new offensive coordinator, Kliff Kingsbury, revealed how he and Dan Quinn will collaborate on the assault in the next campaign.
Kliff Kingsbury was signed by the Washington Commanders as offensive coordinator under new head coach Dan Quinn, but things may go more smoothly than expected in the hiring process.
Kingsbury has talked about how his relationship with Quinn will affect his offensive playcalling in Washington come season’s end.
“Yeah, as much as he wants to be, you know, the head coach, so we’re going to treat it that way,” Kingsbury said in reference to working with Quinn. “The more input we can get from him, the better, as both he and I are aware of this. After all, it is he who is able to inform us, “Hey, this is what the defense is attempting to do; see it from a different point of view than us.” I’m excited to work with him and figure out how we’re going to tackle this because of this.
Before joining the Commanders, Quinn established himself as one of the best defensive minds in football as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons and the defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys.
In reference to Kingsbury, he has head coaching experience in the NFL having previously held the position with the Arizona Cardinals. Quinn and I could create a great collaboration because we will bring different perspectives to the table.
