Billy Donovan, head coach of the Chicago Bulls, is gone due to…
Billy Donovan made it known that he was leaving his position as head coach of the Chicago Bulls football team in order to become Ohio State’s offensive coordinator.
Over the past month, there has been a significant shift within UCLA Sports. Kelly changed his mind from being positive that he would be back on the bench in 2024 to being a coach who is actively and aggressively searching for work, particularly in light of his media appearances at the close of the season and Martin Jarmond’s ambiguous endorsement of “continuity.”
It appears that there was a new understanding with the boosters over a desire to commit more substantially financially for success in 2024 and beyond following his resignation as Ohio State athletic director last month. In any case, it appears that Jarmond has reiterated his intention to attend UCLA in the long run.
However, there has been a seismic shift in the organization recently; if not, UCLA would have pursued Jedd Fisch or Jonathan Smith with much greater vigor.
Given how cold their relationship has reportedly been lately, it’s difficult to believe Kelly and Jarmond’s connection wasn’t at least a little bit icy.
