URGENT: Sergio Pérez recently signed his resignation letter following confirmation that…

The Mexican driver’s contract expires at the end of the current season, thus pressure to perform well and continue in the sport has intensified.

Despite Perez’s 34-year-old contribution to the team’s first-place finish in the world championship, teammate Max Verstappen outperformed Perez, finishing with more than twice as many points.

Perez is still a chance to drive for Red Bull in 2018 despite the fact that other drivers, such Carlos Sainz and the McLaren team of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, have been connected to the reigning champions.

Because drivers like Carlos Sainz are associated with the seat, Sergio Perez is under pressure to remain at Red Bull.

When Perez was working for Racing Point in 2020, Szafnauer, the former team principal of Alpine and Aston Martin, managed his maiden Formula One victory at the Sakhir GP.

When Perez debuted his new app, EventR, the American told the media that he would want to see Perez become Red Bull’s coach for the upcoming season.

“I was asked, ‘If you were Christian Horner, who would you replace Checo with?'” he remarked. two days ago while in Abu Dhabi for an F1 race.

I declared, “I would replace Checo with Checo,” because I knew Checo so well. I still would have kept him for the following year if I had been a Christian. Remember how Max took home [the title] in the first year [2021] due to a confluence of events and Checo?

However, some races did aid Verstappen in winning, which is how Checo earned the nickname “Minister of Defense” in Mexico. That was the way he behaved. Although he has had some difficult times, all things considered, I believe he is doing really well this year, save for a couple of races when I felt he could have performed better.
