GOOD NEWS: Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton recently welcomed his first child…..
For the past few years, the Vikings have benefited from having the best wide receiver in the NFL. The Falcons have won a number of games because of Justin Jefferson and new quarterback Kirk Cousins.Given that Jefferson’s rookie contract is soon to expire, the Vikings have not yet signed him to an extension.Every day that goes by, his value rises. According to recent speculations, the Vikings might not be willing to provide him a big contract.By taking advantage of the reservations made by the Minnesota Vikings management office, the Atlanta Falcons might be able to add the best receiver in the league to their already outstanding roster.
The Vikings’ wide receiver Justin Jefferson might be traded to the Falcons.
The Minnesota Vikings were reportedly considering selecting LSU receiver Malik Nabers in the first round by moving up. Nabers signed with the Giants in the end, but he would not have stayed if the Vikings had worked out a deal to get Justin Jefferson.
This situation may sound like a “coulda, woulda, shoulda,” but it demonstrates the Vikings’ reluctance to commit their top receiver to a deal that will set them back more than $100 million. It’s highly likely that the Vikings would have captured Jefferson by now if they were committed to doing so.
The Falcons should exchange draft picks for him in order to capitalise. A team that hopes to pick late in the first round and is looking into anything that can cost them draft picks shouldn’t be concerned about the price being more than a first-round pick.
It’s also no secret that Jefferson likes to play alongside Kirk Cousins. The Falcons have an early advantage in a season where it might take a few weeks for everyone to click since they currently have some of the best chemistry in the league.
