Breaking News: Just now, Luton Town completed the signing of two skilled recently released Tottenham Academy graduates, including…
Journalist Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports claims that Luton Town entered the competition in an attempt to get Tottenham Hotspur center-back Japhet Tanganga. After spending the latter part of the previous season on loan at Millwall, Tanganga left a lasting impression, so much so that the Lions decided to try to get him back to The Den through another deal.
Tanganga first agreed to a long-term deal with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2020; thus, it didn’t seem possible that he would depart the stadium for free until the following year. But he’s scheduled to be freed on June 30th, which means that many teams will be keen to take advantage of the chance to sign him without having to pay a transfer fee.
Because of their previous loan agreement, the Lions have a good chance of signing Tanganga, although other teams may put up a fierce fight to sign the defender.According to journalist Thomas, Luton and a few other championship teams are considering Tanganga. He might get more playing time in this tier than he did at Tottenham.
The Lions and Tanganga have been in negotiations for a long-term arrangement, but no deal has been struck. If other clubs would like to make a bid for the player, they now have the chance thanks to this delay.
