The annual Meet the Sooners Day tradition hosted by the University of Oklahoma football program is set to take place on August 3, 2024, at the Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Sponsored by Oklahoma, the event allows select fans of the Sooners to interact with their favorite players and coaches on the stadium concourse. The event is exclusively available to members of the Oklahoma program (for ages 13 and above) or the Sooner Kids Club (for ages 12 and below), who must be accompanied by an adult. These members will gain entry through Gate 5 on the stadium’s northwest corner, subject to regular metal-detector and clear-bag policies.
Oklahoma subscribers are given access to exclusive content and events featuring OU’s student-athletes. Those interested in the Sooner Kids Club can purchase memberships, which include an exclusive swag pack, including a replica OU football jersey. Representatives from Oklahoma and the Sooner Kids Club will be available at the event to assist with new subscriptions and memberships.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to obtain autographs from their favorite coaches and players, as well as take photographs with the Sooner Schooner (and Boomer and Sooner). Complimentary schedule posters will be available for fans to have autographed, and each fan may bring one additional item to be signed. Although concessions stands will not offer food, water will be available for purchase. Fans will also be permitted to bring their own bottled water and food items. Public restrooms and cool-zone areas will be provided for the convenience of attendees.
The Sooner Shop, located on the bottom level of the Asp Avenue Parking Facility just outside Gate 2 of the stadium, will be open on the day of the event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, parking will be accessible at the Asp Avenue Parking Facility, the Jenkins Avenue Parking Facility, and the Duck Pond lot east of Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. OU Athletics Ticket Office representatives will be available near Gate 5 during the event for inquiries or purchasing tickets.
