Anthony Joshua is calling out Tyson Fury for a blockbuster clash after his dominant win over Jake Paul. Joshua knocked out Paul in the sixth round and immediately turned his attention to Fury, saying, “If Tyson Fury’s as serious as he thinks he is and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and come fight one of the realest fighters out there”.
The potential Fury-Joshua clash is expected to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in late summer 2026, as part of the Riyadh Season. Both fighters will reportedly participate in separate bouts earlier in 2026 before facing each other. Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, confirmed negotiations are underway, stating Fury will “definitely fight again if it’s the right deal”.
This isn’t the first time Joshua has expressed interest in fighting Fury, and promoter Eddie Hearn has also weighed in, stating the fight is a priority for 2026. Fury, who announced his retirement in January 2025, has hinted at returning to the ring for the right deal.
