Green Bay Packers running backs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are questionable for the Week 15 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur provided the final injury report when speaking to the media on Friday. He noted that the two practiced on Friday but are officially questionable for the game against the Bucs.

“He did what he needed to do today,” said LaFleur about Jones, who hasn’t played since suffering an MCL sprain four weeks ago.

Jones said yesterday that he is “confident” he can return for this game, noting that he is “feeling a lot better.” That’s encouraging, but his status remains up in the air.

It’s a little more complicated for Dillon, who revealed he broke his thumb in Monday’s loss to the New York Giants. It comes down to how limited Dillon is. Can he secure the ball and avoid fumbles? Can he catch passes, or would that part of his game be gone completely?

“He was limited. We’re kind of working through it right now. We’ll see where we’re at,” said LaFleur. “They had it padded up pretty good.”

If Jones and Dillon can’t go, the Packers will rely on backup Patrick Taylor to take on a significant workload. New signing Kenyan Drake could also feature.

Packers injury report: Christian Watson doubtful, Jaire Alexander questionable

Wide receiver Christian Watson likely won’t return this week. LaFleur said he is doubtful to play in Week 15 as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

There is some more encouraging news at wide receiver. Jayden Reed is off the injury report and good to go this week, while Dontayvion Wicks is questionable, an indication his ankle injury isn’t too significant.

On defense, the Packers could miss cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes, safety Darnell Savage, and inside linebacker Quay Walker. They are all questionable.

The Packers need their secondary to step up in a matchup against star wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Carrington Valentine may have an important role to play again in this game.
