Hogs’ Stewart Arrested for Burglary
Fairfax, Arkansas – Sam Pittman needed to free up a few roster spots for the transfer portal, but this is not the way he wanted to see that happen.
Jashaud Stewart, an Arkansas defensive end and the first recruit Pittman ever saw while serving as head coach of the Razorbacks, was taken into custody by the Fayetteville police department on Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of first-degree criminal mischief and residential burglary.
Stewart, a super senior, appeared sporadically throughout the season, accumulating eight tackles across six games. He was shut down for the season following the 7-3 loss to Mississippi State. The Jonesboro native struggled with injuries throughout much of the season.
