Two players signed with Ohio State today.
In order to formally join the team prior to the season, committed members of Ohio State’s recruiting class can sign and turn in their national letters of intent starting on Wednesday morning.
Additionally, as signing day approaches, several questions remain, even if the majority of Ohio State’s class is confirmed.Miles Lockhart became the first Arizonan cornerback to commit to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes since Denzel Burke, after Lockhart signed with the team.
Lockhart, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound cornerback from Chandler, Arizona, accepted offers from Ohio State after receiving interest from Oregon and Texas A&M.
According to 247Sports, Lockhart concluded the 2022 season with 69 tackles and four interceptions, placing him as the class’s No. 24-ranked cornerback.
After witnessing the Ohio State wide receiver and Chandler native struggle through the recruiting process and into the toughest receiving room in the nation,” Lockhart noted that his friendship with Grayes was the core of his commitment.
Lockhart stated of Grayes, He just informed me what Ohio State can do for me. It wasn’t as though he was pressuring me to complete it. “This is a really good fit for me. You’ll know if it’s the correct fit for you,” he was saying to me.
Lockhart joined Bryce West and Damarion Witten as the third member of the Ohio State 2024 class to commit to the official visit, which took place from June 23 to 25.Along with Aaron Scott and West, Lockhart is one of Ohio State’s three 2024 signing class cornerbacks.
