Cleveland Browns News 12/25: Merry Christmas from the OBR; Browns Win; Amari Cooper Shines!
Fans of the 10-5 Cleveland Browns had a very Merry Christmas as the team dominated the Houston Texans 36-22 yesterday thanks to the play of Joe Flacco, Amari Cooper, and a strong defence.
I woke up early, and as I finish the newswire, I haven’t heard my family moving. The days of kids getting up joyfully at 6 AM are long gone; instead, as we get older, Christmas arrives later and later, and Christmas morning becomes more of a disoriented hunt for the coffee maker.
I had to shift my obsessive attention away from the OBR for a few days, but the Browns are now 10-5, Christmas is still alive, and Amari Cooper absolutely destroyed the Texans.
In the small world of my family, everything is good. I’m hoping it’s the same in yours.
Granted, this isn’t the case everywhere, but let’s not lose sight of the positives, and for Browns supporters, the past day was full of them. Beyond the victory, Amari Cooper’s incredible day brought forth a number of advantages. For a really nice colleague who performs his job and doesn’t exhibit the diva traits frequently associated with the role, it was a historic day. It’s not totally a bad thing that it knocked Josh Gordon off top spot in the Browns record book.
The Flacco-to-Cooper relationship has developed into something amazing and seems to be the culmination of two outstanding players’ careers—at least one of whom is now officially a non-a-hole.
We’re here to witness it, too. and reap the rewards of it. For some reason, being a Browns fan makes life enjoyable. All of this is a little strange, but we’re getting used to it.
I’ll keep my blaviation this morning brief. Who has time for bloviations when there are presents to be given, holiday goodwill to spread, and a day to enjoy, after all?
