Hassan Haskins of the Tennessee Titans was arrested and accused of strangling his girlfriend.
After an altercation with his girlfriend Makia Green on June 22, Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins was taken into custody on Thursday morning for aggravated assault by strangulation.
In Davidson County, Tennessee, Haskins, 23, was also accused of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, according to arrest documents that were shared on Friday on the Scoop: Nashville Haskins Twitter account.
ESPN, AP News, and Nashville news site WSMV 4 all reported that the Titans sent a statement on Friday night that said, “We are aware of the issue and seeking further information.”
According to reports from ESPN and The Tennessean, the NFL player was released later on Thursday after posting his $10,000 bail.
According to the publications, Green, 20, was also charged with felony vandalism and aggravated assault by strangulation on Thursday morning. Her $7,500 bail was posted, and later that day she was freed. On July 10, Green and Haskins are both expected in court.
According to the arrest document that describes the event on June 22, Haskins and Green got into a fight because she “clicked ‘like’ on a photo of a guy on Instagram.”
Green said to the police that she “went into the closet and proceeded to toss the suspect’s shoes down to the floor” and that Haskins “pushed the victim to the ground, causing the victim to strike the back of her head” after she urged him to “stop touching his belongings.”
The woman was then taken out of the closet, put onto the bed, and strangled with both hands for ten to fifteen seconds, according to her statement that “she fought back and kicked the suspect.”College Football Players Face Charges After Allegedly-Taken Snapchat Video Captures Them Punching A Miniature Poodle
Green added that she “slapped the suspect on the face, therefore the suspect slapped her back” when Haskins released her.” He then proceeded to strangle her once again after ‘throwing her on the ground, leading her to collapse on top of the dog kennel’.
She was shown in photos with “little bruises to her right face,” “red in front of [her] neck,” “a bruise to her right upper arm near the shoulder,” and a scrape on the left side of her neck when Haskins released her.
A fight broke out between the professional football player and his fiancée at a restaurant on Thursday because they were “in the throes of a breakup,” according to the second arrest affidavit for Haskins’ felony allegation of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.
“She was upset and grabbed a glass cup and tossed it, smashing it,” Green told police after finding Haskins aboard her Uber ride back home.
After that, Haskins “punched and kicked” her bedroom door until it was shattered in two. She then walked inside and shut it.
After that, the two got into further arguments, during which Green claimed Haskins damaged her phone because she had broken his jewellery. Haskins’s old iPhone 12 began to display “chats and nude photographs from other women starting to come up on his Snapchat” when she switched it up to call her mother.
Green said that since this infuriated her even more, she hurled the phone, breaking the screen. Then, since “she was upset [about] everything that was going,” she smacked Haskins across the chest.

He claimed he had video evidence of Green hurling a water bottle at him and striking him with a broom, leaving a “red bump on his back.”
In addition, it is said that Green broke his PS5 by tossing it upstairs and puncturing a hole in a wall. Haskins stated the value of his old iPhone 12 at $800, his PS5 at $500, and his jewellery at $5,000.
According to ESPN, Haskins is a second-year running back for the Titans, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
