Miami’s head coach made his exit known.
Early on, Miami’s head coach announced his resignation
“It is a privilege to begin a new chapter as Miami FC’s head coach,” Nocerino remarked. “I firmly believe that both the short-term and long-term projects we have planned here at the club will provide a fresh and fascinating challenge. Making a significant difference both on and off the pitch will be one of my objectives. I’ll always use the same approach: be determined, disciplined, resourceful, and appreciative of every football moment.”
The squad, which revealed Lewis Neal’s exit last week, had Nocerino, 38, take over as coach.
Even though this is Nocerino’s first head coaching position, he has a tonne of international playing experience when it comes to South Florida.
He has played for the Italian national team, AC Milan, Juventus, and Orlando City in Major League Soccer (MLS), among other teams.
Miami FC almost missed out on the eighth and final playoff position by finishing ninth in the USL Eastern Conference standings.
Officials from Miami FC stated that rebuilding the team’s squad with individuals who can work well together to win games will be one of Nocerino’s main responsibilities.
Owner and founder of Miami FC, Riccardo Silva, expressed his excitement, saying, “I am really excited to bring in a person like Antonio Nocerino to lead this next part of Miami FC’s destiny.” “The Miami Football Club is the ideal home for Antonio because of his extraordinary background, wisdom, and personality, which align perfectly with our goal of being a top draw for players both domestically and abroad. Never before has our dedication to this city been greater.”
Nocerino, who is licenced as a UEFA Pro coach, has over 350 professional outings under his belt since 2003, according to the team. These appearances have come for international teams including 36-time Italian Serie-A champion Juventus, 19-time Serie-A champion AC Milan, and 55 MLS matches with Orlando City.
