At Spring Training, Minnesota Twins standout makes a daring declaration

We found out on Saturday that Byron Buxton, a star player for the Minnesota Twins, is fully healthy as of 2024.

Buxton now believes he can steal 30 bases this year because of his improved health.

On social media, Do-Hyoung Park stated:

With great pleasure, Byron Buxton announces that he has already discussed how many bases he and Willi Castro can each steal this season.

He claims to be capable of 30 steals.

That indicates that I use and run a lot. I’m feeling well. I’m feeling great.

Due to persistent injuries, Buxton has never stolen 30 bases in a season. He spent the whole previous season as a designated hitter, but he underwent knee surgery in the summer and will now return to center field.

Buxton was left off the Twins’ opening playoff roster despite having just played 85 games.

Buxton has only once in his career played 100 or more games since making his debut in 2015 (2017). He missed 21 out of a possible 60 games in the 2020 season, which was cut short by the pandemic.

He is a.239 hitter with 115 home runs in his career. From a power aspect, his finest season occurred in 2022, when he blasted 28 home runs and was selected to the All-Star Game just once.

The Toronto Blue Jays were defeated in two games by the Twins in the wild card stage after they had won the American League Central the previous season. The Houston Astros defeated them in four games as part of the American League Division Series after that.

In a better division where the Royals have spent over $100 million this summer and the Tigers have added several veterans, they remain favorites.
