BREAKIN NEWS: Saints Will Interview Coach of Steelers QB for Open Position.

The coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers has set a second interview time for the offensive coordinator position.

Pittsburgh According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback coach Mike Sullivan is set to interview again, this time with the New Orleans Saints, for the position of offensive coordinator.

After interviewing with the Saints, Sullivan is scheduled to speak about the offensive coordinator position on the Las Vegas Raiders roster. The acting offensive co

ordinator for the Steelers previously worked as a play-caller for the Tampa Bay Bucs in 2012–2013 and the New York Giants in 2016–2017. This coming season, he may have his fourth stint in that capacity.

In the event that Sullivan is unable to find employment elsewhere this season, it is anticipated that the Steelers will release him. Pittsburgh wants to minimize any possible “awkwardness” in the situation, which is why they hired an outside candidate to be their new offensive coordinator.

The Steelers had two 400-yard games under Sullivan and co-offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner, their first since Matt Canada took over in 2021. With Mason Rudolph at quarterback, they won three games in a row to close off the regular season and guarantee a spot in the playoffs.
