Breaking: Alabama becomes favorite contender for A Star DB In Marcus Wimberly.
Marcus Wimberly believes that after visiting and receiving an offer from the Crimson Tide, Alabama is now among his top choices.
Wimberly now receives a three-star ranking from the majority of recruiting websites while attending Beauxite High School in Arkansas. Wimberly is now offered by Alabama, making it the 18th collegiate football program. Wimberly received an offer from the Crimson Tide, and defensive backs coach Colin Hitschler told him about it.
Regarding his Alabama offer, Wimberly remarked, “It means a ton.” “This football program is historic. Eighteen national titles are sufficient evidence. As a head coach, Coach DeBoer has a 112-10 record. I’m really grateful, and it means a lot to me. It’s only been among the top SEC teams over the past ten years. Thus, the program is excellent.
The junior believes Tide is at the top of his recruitment list after making an offer.
Wimberly told Touchdown Alabama, “It definitely gets Alabama in there with my top schools, along with Utah in my top seven.”
For Beauxite, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound player makes plays on both sides of the ball. His ability to detach expected wide receivers from the football and block when he lines up at wide receiver both reflect his physical playing style. As a safety, he is said to have a 4.4-foot pace on the downhill and excellent ball judgment when playing over-the-top defense.
