Former wide receiver Josh Reynolds have decided to leave Lions for Ravens due to.
Josh Reynolds, an unrestricted free agent wide receiver who played for the Detroit Lions for the previous two and a half seasons, will make a trip to the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
During the 2024 NFL free agency period, Reynolds has not previously been known to have interacted with any NFL team, including the Lions.
After being released by the Tennessee Titans and being claimed off waivers, Reynolds signed with the Lions midway through the 2021 campaign. Reynolds became a regular member of the Lions rotation quite rapidly and was finally given a starting position. During his tenure in Detroit, he made 97 receptions for 1393 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns while starting 29 games.
The Lions’ interest in having Reynolds return for a second season is unknown. The Lions had not added any wide receivers via free agency as of Thursday afternoon. They did re-sign Donovan Peoples-Jones, a midseason addition who had only five receptions for 58 yards in eight games with Detroit the previous season.
Additionally, Detroit has stated that it is certain Jameson Williams, a third-year receiver who has been limited in his influence the past two seasons due to injury and suspension, will play a larger role in 2024.
Coach Dan Campbell stated, “He is going to push to be a full-time starter now, and that’s what we’re looking for.” As we’ve mentioned before, everyone develops at a different rate. Although it may have taken him a little longer, he is unquestionably becoming a valuable member of the team. Come on, kids. Thus, we have great expectations for him and believe that, given enough time and effort, he will continue to develop.
