Former world number twelve Feliciano Lopez has described Jannik Sinner of Italy and Carlos Alcaraz, the current number two in the world, as the two players that are “out of the ordinary.”
Both of these young lads are frequently considered as two of the best players in the men’s singles division right now.
According to Lopez, who was recently cited in a newspaper, are two players who are “out of the ordinary.”
“People who are ignorant of the world of tennis or sports tend to think that way when I tell them that Andre Agassi is the winner of eight Grand Slams,” he remarked.
“When a guy shows up and wins twenty-two, it takes away a lot from the previous events.” That is also unjust. Because of this, we must appreciate what is now rather than evaluating it in light of the past.
I’m enjoying something that seems unusual to me, especially with Jannik Sinner and Alcaraz. With the two of them, I believe we have been quite fortunate, considering that our lineage is limited to Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Andy Murray, etc.
At the moment, both athletes are competing at the Miami Open. With a 5-7, 7-5, 6-1 victory over Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands, Sinner has already secured his spot in the fourth round. On Tuesday, he will take on Christopher O’Connell of Australia in the round of 16.
Alcaraz, on the other hand, advanced to the round of 32 after defeating Roberto Carballés Baena 6-2, 6-1 in the second round. In the upcoming round on Monday, the two-time Grand Slam champion will take on Gael Monfils of France.
