After starter Kyle McCord transferred to Syracuse, Kansas State transfer quarterback Will Howard quickly answered the Buckeyes’ quarterbacking quandary by committing to Ohio State on Thursday.

This week, Howard visited Ohio State and decided to enroll there, even though he was also contemplating USC. Now that he’s playing closer to home, the native Pennsylvanian gives the Buckeyes the possible starting quarterback they’ve been looking for. As of Thursday afternoon, he was rated No. 4 in The Athletic’s best-available transfer rankings.
