An Eagle Nation player was taken into custody.
Eagles players was detained earlier today
NFL’s previous campaign. They lost C.J. Gardner-Johnson and T.J. Edwards this offseason, but they also added a quality rookie class to help in 2023 and have Nakobe Dean waiting in the wings. They boast an MVP-caliber quarterback, an excellent offensive line, a potent pass rush, a solid secondary, and a formidable throwing offence. Everything is set up for another Super Bowl victory.

Mailbag: If the Eagles had acquired Russell Wilson through trade, how might they have appeared in 2022? Voice of Philadelphia
I’ll start off by saying that, since I’m petty, the Eagles’ attempts to trade for Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson are not particularly noteworthy. They were unable to accomplish this because the quarterbacks refused to waive their no-trade clauses in order to come to Philadelphia. It has allegedly been happening locally for more than a year. According to recent reports, Wilson nixed a trade that the Eagles and Seahawks had essentially agreed to.
Eagles Notepad: Blitz Iggles
You could compare it to the old school if Elliss were to establish himself as a reliable starter. In 2003, Quintin Mikell was signed as an UDFA. As a rookie, he was a star. For the next couple of years, he played defence as well, but his primary position was forward. In 2006, he started a game and played more defence. For the following four years, Mikell started for the Eagles. The Vikings signed Elliss in 2021 as an UDFA. After they cut him, he was signed by the Eagles. For the majority of the year, he was on and off the practice squad. Elliss took part in one match. After having a terrible preseason in 2022, he was cut. Although he spent the majority of the season on the practice squad, he was raised for a few games. In December, the Eagles ultimately included him on the roster. Elliss had a significant impact on STs during his six games of participation. Elliss is now advocating for more than a berth on the roster. He’s looking for playing time. He is eager to get going.
Roob’s Ten Thoughts: Is DeVonta Smith a legitimate top-10 wide receiver? NBCSP 1. The question of whether DeVonta Smith ranks among the top 10 receivers has been discussed a lot over the past few weeks. I just can’t think of ten WRs that I would prefer to have. What I found most enjoyable about Smith’s 2022 season was that he was crucial to a team hoping to secure the top seed, get a bye, and go to the Super Bowl late in the season. For Smith, it went beyond the numbers. Each and every catch had significance. With 1,196 yards overall, Smith ranked seventh among wide receivers in the NFL; however, during the final eight weeks, which are the most crucial games of the season, he amassed 715 yards, surpassing only A.J. Brown, Justin Jefferson, and Davante Adams. And in the final eight weeks of a season, only two players have ever had more for the Eagles: Mike Quick in 1995 (772) and Irving Fryar in 1996 (721). Then, in three playoff games—one of which the Eagles hardly passed the ball—he added 197 yards, which ranks seventh among all Eagles in postseason history. And after a 100-yard performance in a Super Bowl, he rose to become the seventh-youngest player in NFL history. How many players in NFL history scored 100 yards in the Super Bowl and 1,196 yards in the regular season before turning 25? Just one. DeVonta. Meaningless yards don’t matter to me when a team is trailing 30 points and consistently passes the ball. For a team seeking a championship, I do worry about huge plays at high-leverage situations, and Smith nearly always delivered. Surely, ten wide receivers may be superior to Smith.
The promising future of Ndamukong Suh in broadcasting, the pros and cons of Fox’s coverage of Belmont, and more: The Athletic, a Media Circus
Damukong Although Suh may not be the first NFL player who springs to mind when considering potential broadcasters, in his post-playing career, the future Hall of Famer is someone to watch. Suh was one of 24 players chosen by the NFL to take part in the 2023 Broadcast and Media Boot Camp, a three-day media workshop that pairs players interested in broadcasting with people in the business. Suh has talked with NBC Sports officials about the possibility of broadcasting. Suh’s ability to respond to questions wowed ESPN executives during his guest commentator gig on “NFL Live” last summer. This week, an ESPN official described him as “very outstanding.” Suh attended many classes with NFL Network chief national reporter Steve Wyche, who taught at the Broadcast and Media Boot Camp.
Before the required minicamp, the Patriots reportedly work out veteran offensive tackle D.J. Fluker (Pats Pulpit).
Fluker is making a comeback now that he is without a team for the 2022 season. The Philadelphia Eagles just brought him in, and he also worked out at the Alabama Pro Day in March.
The key to Elijah Riley’s inclusion on the Steelers 53-man roster is his versatility. Behind The Steel Curtain
But according to the same source, Riley’s versatility has also caught the eye of the staff, in addition to his ball abilities and quick reflexes. Riley, who is naturally a safety, is expected to contend for the slot cornerback position during rundowns and occasionally switch to a box safety look to support the defence. Stated differently, he is demonstrating his ability to fill two needy roles with just one roster space. This would enable the Steelers to maintain a player in a different position that they believe is more crucial in terms of depth. Does Riley’s inclusion on the 53-man roster seem inevitable now? Not at all, but it’s possible that he’s evolved from being seen as a long shot to make the team to someone who has a real chance of helping the Steelers with their defensive issues in 2023.
How the Cowboys’ ability to dominate in the trenches could make all the difference this time—Blogging The Boys
The cowboys being overwhelmed in the trenches is one scenario that frequently occurs. Things like the Rams’ 273 rushing yards of offensive production against the Cowboys’ run defence come to mind. We could also recall the Cowboys quarterbacks being under duress frequently because they were losing teams in the majority of those games due to the sack differential. And in certain instances, both occurred, as in the 2021 game against the 49ers, when SF scored 169 yards of rushing despite Dak Prescott being sacked five times. These weaknesses have come back to haunt this Cowboys squad during the playoffs, whether it’s a lack of protection from the offensive line or an inability to stop the other team from rushing the ball.
In practice, Sam Howell has been getting along nicely with Jahan Dotson and tight ends. – Insider to Hogs Haven Commanders On the Trap or Dive Podcast, ESPN’s John Keim talked about the relationships Sam Howell has been forming at Washington’s practice sessions. “The tight ends, in my opinion, are the biggest issue,” Keim said. Although it’s not a receiver, the tight end has seen a lot of use. My concern is that, while it’s fantastic to include tight ends, doing so implies that receivers aren’t receiving as much attention. Your playmakers are still those wide receivers. I believe that Sam and Logan Thomas have a strong bond. Among the receivers, Jahan Dotson is unquestionably one that he has searched extensively for. I’m interested in watching how he and Terry get along. He threw to Terry for his first toss and touchdown in the Dallas game, and he also had a deep pass to him. In practice, though, I believe the loose ends have fallen out, and he frequently searches for Jahan.
Big Blue View: Saquon Barkley’s threat to “sit out the season” sounds hollow.
Silence. That is a baseless warning. Barkley would have earned $10.1 million if he had been signed to a franchise tag for the 2023 season. He also won’t take the chance of losing his career and essentially ruining his long-term earning potential by missing the 2018 season due to a contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers, like Le’Veon Bell did.
This week’s New York Giants minicamp will be without Saquon Barkley while he awaits a new contract, according to SB Nation.
Barkley’s remarks are indicative of the running-back position’s current market. For the 2023 league season, a running back’s franchise tag is worth $10,091,000, which is less than the value of any other position in the league outside of special team players. Running backs are seeing their position’s worth pushed further down the table in the NFL these days, and Barkley doesn’t have to go too far back in time to observe how teams are managing the position. The Minnesota Vikings cut Dalvin Cook, who was due for a sizable salary under his current contract, only last Friday. According to Spotrac, Cook was entitled to a basic salary of $10.4 million for this season, $11.9 million for 2024, and $12.9 million for 2025.
