Aaron Glenn will return to Lions in 2024 after reportedly hiring Dan Quinn

In 2024, Aaron Glenn will reportedly rejoin the Lions after hiring Dan Quinn.
The Washington Commanders have decided who will manage their organization; therefore, the Detroit Lions will have both coordinators back for the 2024 NFL season.

Again a popular candidate for interviews in the hiring cycle, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn was unable to secure any of the open roles.

Numerous reports state that Dan Quinn, the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, was hired by the commanders.

It was reported earlier this week that Washington officials took a plane to Detroit in order to speak with Glenn and Ben Johnson.

In the end, Detroit’s gifted offensive coordinator made the decision to decline any offers to leave.

Detroit has the opportunity to expand on their 2023 success, as both the offensive and defensive groups saw improvements from the previous campaign, with both coordinators back.

The club won 14 games overall in 2023, according to Dan Campbell, in part because of the team’s resiliency and the presence of a strong coaching staff that can connect with and mentor players.

We frequently discuss how robust they were, in my opinion. Their capacity to triumph, to enter a challenging setting, win important games, and remain composed,” Campbell remarked. And simply to realize where they truly come from as a team, as men, as a collective.

“And to see how much they rely on one another and how solid their friendship is—that’s essential, man. That’s still a real thing; that’s a transaction, even in professional sports. And the teams that are able to locate that, well, they usually have something unique, and we have that in that locker room. This group is unique.

    In brief

Dan Campbell was chosen as the NFL Coach of the Year, while Brad Holmes, the general manager of the Lions, was chosen by his “peers” as the NFL Executive of the Year, according to a Thursday Sporting News report.

Voting for Coordinator of the Year and Coach of the Year was restricted to head coaches alone. The Sporting News said that the only people eligible to vote for Executive of the Year were front-office employees and personnel decision-makers.
