The Raiders of Las Vegas Aidan O’Connell is the one who will lose the starting quarterback job, according to coach Antonio Pierce.
Since he started the young quarterback in his debut season after taking over as head coach following Week 8 of the previous campaign, Pierce has had a long-standing admiration for O’Connell.
And even if Pierce is aware of the yearning for a fresh face at QB1, that hasn’t altered since.
At the NFL Combine on February 28, Pierce stated, “This is a hell of a draft class; there’s some pretty excellent free agents out there, too.” However, it is the same as it was following the Minnesota game. I chose to stick with Aidan, even though everyone else said I should bench him or do something else.
“Recall that on Day 1, I stated that? I said, “We’re going to stay with Aidan from now on.” I didn’t—I don’t go back because of what other people think I should do or what they advise me to do.
