After a barrage of penalties in Ottawa, the Bruins win in overtime.
The Boston Bruins faced the Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on Thursday night, and they did not have an easy route to win.
Despite committing nine penalties, several of which were contested, Boston managed to overcome the Senators and secure their 30th victory of the year. On the “Morning Bru” podcast, NESN commentators Billy Jaffe and Andrew Raycroft discussed the prolonged time spent in the penalty box.
According to Jaffe, “the march to the penalty box began in the first period.” “In the first period, it was ultimately the penalties from Charlie Coyle and David Pastrnak.”
Amidst a plethora of further penalties, including a disputed tripping call against Trent Frederic, Boston managed to stay ahead thanks to goals from David Pastrnak and Frederic.
