Kelen Moore will serve as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator starting in 2024, the team announced today.
In a statement, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni highlighted all that Moore has accomplished, including his 50-3 record as a starting quarterback during his college career at Boise State and his NFL coaching and playing careers.
“Kellen has demonstrated a remarkable ability to lead an offense at every level of the sport while earning the trust and respect of his players and teammates,” Sirianni said. “As an established offensive coordinator, a former NFL player, and a Heisman finalist.” “He’s a very intelligent football coach whose in-depth understanding of the game has made him a skilled playcaller in this league. As an NFL coach, Kellen has guided some of the league’s top offenses and assisted in the development of some of the best quarterbacks. Kellen is a welcome addition to our team.
Moore was appointed as the Cowboys’ quarterbacks coach after retiring from the NFL, having played three seasons with the Lions and three with the Cowboys. After just one season as the quarterbacks coach in Dallas, he was moved to offensive coordinator. He stayed in Dallas for four seasons before joining the Chargers as offensive coordinator in 2023.
Now, he’ll attempt to revive an Eagles attack that unexpectedly faltered in the closing moments. For Sirianni to develop a long-term offensive strategy in Philadelphia, Moore is a necessity.
