The Bills are interviewing Sean Desai, a former defensive coordinator for the Eagles.
Sean Desai, a former Eagles coach, is being interviewed by the Bills to be their defensive coordinator.
The dual duties of head coach and defensive coordinator didn’t wind up having a significant negative impact on Sean McDermott and the Buffalo Bills this season, despite additional postseason disappointment en route to a late turnaround and an appearance in the AFC Divisional.
However, Buffalo’s window for a Super Bowl runout is closing, and the Bills have already indicated that they intend to relieve some of McDermott’s workload in the best interests of the team.
The Bills are interviewing former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai for the same role in Buffalo, according to sources from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Saturday.
According to Rapoport’s tweet, “Former Eagles DC Sean Desai is once again a strong defensive coordinator candidate, this time interviewing with the Bills and Falcons today.” “A possible fast comeback against Philadelphia.”
After spending just one season with the Eagles, Desai was recently let go. He was fired from his play-calling position prior to Philadelphia’s Week 15 loss to Seattle. He was once the defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears and the defensive assistant for the Seattle Seahawks. The defense declined even more following the hiring of Matt Patricia as head coach, and this was only one of six losses in the final seven games of the regular season (including the playoffs).

Desai would get the opportunity to head a talented Buffalo defense, and the Bills obviously see something in him.
