Mike McCarthy Divorced his wife for adultry.
Finding one another gave Troy Aikman and his wife Catherine a second opportunity at love. The couple is now a real-life Brady Brunch, along with their four kids. Troy and Catherine were joined in marriage with two daughters and two boys, respectively.
Jordan (born 2001) and Alexa (born 2002) are the Hall of Fame Cowboys quarterback’s two daughters with his ex-wife, Rhonda Worthey, whom he married from 2000 to 2011.
Before Troy, 54, met Catherine, also known as “Capa,” in the beginning of 2016, he had been single for over five years. Capa, a single mother from the Dallas region, had previously driven a remodeled truck to start a mobile fashion business. (Consider a food truck that also has pumps and bracelets.)
Capa has two boys, Luke and Val, who are in high school. Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has a sister who is the boys’ grandma. (Remarkably, Troy won three Super Bowl titles with the Cowboys from 1989 to 2000—talk about a small world!)
According to People, the pair wed in a quiet ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, three months after becoming engaged in June 2017 in Lake Como, Italy.
Troy has never said anything about his personal life before. However, he began posting about his newfound contentment on social media after being married to Capa. Troy shared a picture of the couple on Instagram on their second wedding anniversary, writing, “I love you.” I cherish us. I cherish my family. I hope you have a happy anniversary with me!
Troy also calls their six-person family on social media “teamsix.” The close-knit family is incredibly helpful to one another. Troy even coaches his stepson’s high school football team! The four kids go to the same private school in Dallas!
Troy had considered coaching his kids’ sports in the past, but he was concerned that he would push them too hard. 2012: “I just want to be Dad,” he said to GQ. However, there was a simple fix for his stepson Val’s squad: Troy could teach the quarterbacks.
