The Jacksonville Jaguars are hoping to improve their performance next year and make a run at the postseason after missing out on the playoffs in 2023–24.
In order to do this, the Jaguars will need to make significant improvements this offseason and address the issues that led to their collapse in the second part of the season. Doug Pederson, the head coach of the Jaguars, pointed out that Lawrence needs to become better at cutting down on turnovers.
According to Pederson, “it’s the main thing that he has to focus on going forward.” This level of turnover is just not sustainable. It doesn’t matter where or how we turn the ball over—our main goal is to keep the football safe. That is the primary concern.
We have to make sure that the emphasis is on ball care, especially for the quarterback, who handles the ball every time, according to Pederson.
Although Lawrence is a great quarterback with a high ceiling, his early NFL career has been marred by a lot of turnovers. Lawrence has fumbled 33 times and thrown 39 interceptions since joining the NFL. He will compete for the number one quarterback slot in the NFL if he can reduce his turnover rate.
