Jed York CEO Of San Francisco 49ers Announced that Kyle Shanahan is no Longer.
In an attempt to win their sixth Super Bowl title, the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in today’s game. The York family has owned the squad for the past few seasons, but they are hoping to change that this year.
Tony Morabito formed the 49ers in 1946, and following his passing in 1957, the team was passed down to his younger brother Victor. The team was owned by Tony and Victor’s wives, Jane and Josephine, after Victor passed away only seven years later. Edward DeBartolo Sr. bought the team in 1977 and gave it to his son, Edward DeBartolo Jr.
The 49ers won five Super Bowls while they were owned by DeBartolo Jr. In 2016, he claimed, “I wanted to manage the 49ers like a family rather than a company.” “I genuinely thought of myself and the guys as a partnership. We had to work together to achieve our annual goal of winning the Super Bowl.”
He was fined $1 million and suspended from the NFL for a year after entering a guilty plea to gambling fraud in 1998, specifically “to failing to report a felony when he paid $400,000 to former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards in exchange for a riverboat gambling license.” After his suspension, he had the option to rejoin the team as owner, but he chose not to.
Years later, he added, “The team actually wasn’t taken away from me.” “I believe that for a very long time, it has been a misnomer. Commissioner Tagliabue did, of course, suspend me, but throughout the time I was negotiating with my family, we certainly engaged attorneys and an Akron, Ohio court in our discussions. The decision to decide whether or not to acquire the 49ers or the other portion of the firm was what mattered, not whether or not that team was acquired.”
He went added, “And I figured at that time, and her family and my sister Denise [49ers owner Denise York] were absolutely involved.” In that meeting in Akron, Ohio, I made the decision that I felt it would be best to take the opposing side, and it would be the end of my 49ers career. I’m not sure if that tale has ever been recounted; it might have or might not. However, I realized that it was a decision because I had more to make at the time with my life. I’d done a lot and been successful with the 49ers. Though it meant the world to me, I reasoned that it would be best for me to do what was best to be a good husband, father, and grandfather as well as to pursue my interests and perhaps travel a little bit and spend more time with my family because my daughters were growing older and we were all getting older at the time and planning families.”
Consequently, Denise Bartolo York and her husband John York, DeBartolo’s sister, became the team’s proprietors in 1999. Jed York, the 49ers’ owner, is the eldest of Denise and John’s four children.

Jed and Danielle Belluomini are wed, and together they have two boys, Brixton and Jaxon.
When the 49ers were behind at the half in the AFC Championship game, Jed said to the San Francisco Chronicle, “My son was like on the point of tears.” Additionally, he recently took up flag football and seemed to be really enjoying it. He therefore always has his football with him. He is prepared to cry as he sits there.” He remembers telling his eleven-year-old son, “We’re in the NFC Championship Game; our family and friends are here.” The world is not without its worst aspects. Like, we’re content and in good health. I’m always telling you that you need to perform well under pressure. Now let’s toss the ball.”
The 49ers won the game and advanced to the Super Bowl after they played catch in the suite.
