Breaking News: Dallas Police Have Just Killed Yankees Head Coach Because of…
Rashee Rice, a wide receiver with the Kansas City Chiefs, is lucky. It’s a true wonder that nobody was killed or gravely injured in the six-vehicle Dallas accident over the weekend that included a Corvette bearing his name.
There will be additional information regarding Rice’s involvement in the crash in the next few days. It’s unclear if he was actually operating the Corvette that appeared to be in a race on a Texas interstate with a Lamborghini.
However, there was a reason why Dallas Police Department officers were looking for the Kansas City wide receiver. Additionally, it has been stated that the Southern Methodist University freshman athlete engaged an attorney right away following the collision.
Rice’s lawyer, Royce West, said in a statement made public on Monday that the Chiefs player is assisting the authorities in their investigation of the event.
“His sympathies are with everyone affected by the car accident on Saturday, on behalf of Rashee Rice,” West stated. “Rashee is working with the local authorities and will take all appropriate action to deal with this matter in a responsible manner.”
Guilt by association seems reasonable in this situation. However, things may be far worse.
Upon discovering Rice’s involvement in the collision, my first thoughts went to the four injured parties. Afterwards, Henry Ruggs III, a former wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders who was selected in the first round by Alabama in 2020, kept coming to mind.
Ruggs is no longer an NFL football player. He drove a sports automobile while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, ruining his bright career. He killed a woman and her dog in a fiery crash three years ago, and he is currently serving a prison sentence. Reports stated that driving too fast was a contributing cause.
Ruggs signed a four-year rookie contract worth over $16 million, with a $9 million signing bonus. He currently earns $2.50 an hour working in a prison in Nevada.
In this case, Rice most definitely merits giving it a pass till we learn more. I saw a little bit of the supposed drag race in which his automobile was involved. What I saw was appalling. Not everything goes smoothly when fast-moving cars crash into other cars or retaining walls on the freeway.
I contacted a Chiefs representative earlier on Monday. I was curious to hear if either Club President Mark Donovan or Head Coach Andy Reid had communicated with Rice.
“Is the club aware of the degree of his involvement in a crash that was reported in Dallas?” I sent an email. “And how is he doing?”
Donovan’s remarks from Kansas City’s KMBZ talk radio that morning were forwarded to me.
Donovan said to anchor Pete Mundo, “In all these instances you have to wait until you get all the facts and frankly, we don’t have all the facts at this point.” The one consoling piece of information we do have is that there was a multi-car collision; thankfully, no one seems to have been wounded, so we should be thankful for that. We’ll investigate it thoroughly. We’ll compile the information and respond appropriately.
However, there were injuries, including that of a small child, according to accounts.
Rice may be a multimillionaire. He simply cannot afford to get mired in this legal quagmire.
Rice has only 23 years of age. This needs to serve as a wake-up call for him. The young man and the organization have too much on the line. Not every person who dons a suit has the opportunity to play professional ball. Additionally, Rice was chosen by the Chiefs in the second round of the NFL Draft last year for a reason: the young player is skilled.
In this case, talent is insufficient to justify the purported behavior depicted in the video footage that I have viewed.
