The week’s NFC Offensive Player of the Week is Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award for the first time in his career.
In Week 17’s 33-10 victory against Minnesota, Love completed 24 of 33 passes for 256 yards, three touchdowns, and a 125.3 passer rating for Green Bay. In addition, he ran for a touchdown.
In the game, Love completed passes to eight different players; three of them, TE Tucker Kraft, WR Jayden Reed, and WR Bo Melton, each had six receptions. Melton grabbed his first touchdown in the NFL, while Reed caught two of the touchdowns.
Love’s ninth game of the season with multiple touchdown passes and no interceptions ties him with Brock Purdy of San Francisco for the league lead. In his first 17 NFL starts, Love has also had eight of these games, which ties him for second place with Dan Marino and is one less than Purdy’s nine career starts.
Love is only the second quarterback in team history to reach 30 throwing touchdowns and four running touchdowns in a single season. Two times, in 2009 (30/5) and ’16 (40/4), Aaron Rodgers accomplished it.
