The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to bounce back from a very ugly end to their 2023 season as NFL Training Camp approaches. They made a major splash in free agency when they signed star running back Saquon Barkley from the New York Giants, their bitter rivals. Saquon has been enjoying his new squad thus far, but this week it was revealed that his father had been detained.

Police reportedly conducted a traffic stop on Barkely’s father, Alibay, according to a FOX News story. According to reports, the cops discovered a loaded revolver in the car when they pulled him up.

“A law enforcement source informs me that during a traffic stop in the Bronx, the father of current Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and former Giants player was discovered in possession of a gun. Thompson stated late on Thursday night that he might face charges related to unlawful possession of a weapon.

“This allegedly occurred yesterday in Mott Haven at the intersection of East 140th and 3rd Avenue. The rifle was loaded, according to sources,” he later said.
