The Dane was involved in incidents in both the sprint and the grand prix during his turbulent weekend in Miami.

He now has a total of 10 points on his license, which puts him just two away from an inevitable race ban, but it was the two penalty points he received for colliding with Logan Sargeant during the race.

If he meets the goal and gains any more points throughout the campaign, he will be the first driver to be in violation of the totting-up procedure.

Magnussen surprisingly had no points on his record going into the 2024 season because everything he has subsequently won since his contentious driving at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, where he crashed with Alex Albon, has been earned.
